Karen recently retired from her first career as an art educator in the state of Georgia. Real estate was always a “hobby” of hers and when Tom made the change to becoming a real estate agent and eventually a broker, Karen was there to support his success with her contributions.
When asked what she does with her time how you will hear her say, “I wear many hats!” Karen functions as a transaction coordinator for our agents managing real estate transactions from contract to close. She applies her creative talents by designing marketing materials, advertisements, newsletter communications, and educational materials, as well as producing photographs and videos for social media campaigns. Finally, Karen manages our two nightly rental villas, Lake Thurmond Lodging, ensuring that our guests experience true Southern hospitality while they explore the area.
Karen and Tom have not only chosen to make McCormick their home, but they have committed to making their community better. Karen’s goal in her second career as a real estate agent, marketer, transaction coordinator, and hospitality manager extraordinaire is to take her success and turn it into significance. Giving back to the community in positive ways results in positive changes for all.
